St. Anne's Project

photo of St. Anne's at night decorated for ChristmasIf you didn't make it to the Open House at St. Anne's on December 4, 2005, you missed the public debut of the work in progress of this fine old building.

Much has been accomplished in the last two years thanks to diligent work by the St. Anne's Committee. Building improvements include repair of the roof and ceiling, complete replacement of the floor joists, installation of new hardwood floors, heating and air-conditioning, electrical wiring and reinforcement of the building structurally.

Along with this work, the Estey Reed Organ, dating from between 1925 to 1930, was found to still work, but it needed some work as well. The work on the organ was underwritten by two local families. Included in this restoration were the exterior of the organ, mechanical parts, and a new matching organ bench.

There is still much to be done. Anyone desiring to help in the completion of this restoration either by volunteer labor or financial support are welcomed. Contact the St. Anne's Committee for more information on how you can help.
