Friday, Sept. 12

 

Reunion Tour (Lincoln and Douglas re-enactors) meet with local press and schools

6:30 p.m. Dinner with the Debaters at Great Boars of Fire, Anna (Tickets $25.00 each)

 

Saturday, Sept. 13

 

All-day community festival on Jonesboro Square

Period crafts, demonstrations, food, music, games, etc.

1:30 19th Century Jonesboro Band leads procession to debate site at Lincoln Memorial Park. Citizens and visitors may “Walk Where Lincoln Walked” (or ride in a buggy as Douglas did) to travel the ¼ mile from Jonesboro Square up Main Street to the Debate Site at Lincoln Memorial Park.

 

2:00 Press Conference Program with Lincoln and Douglas Reunion Team as they re-visit Jonesboro 150 years after the Great Debate.
 

Sunday, Sept. 14

 

1:00 Old Fashioned Picnic in the Park with music, Lincoln and Douglas, and today’s current local politicians. Bring your own basket of food or purchase from area merchants.
