P.A.S.T. Museum

One of P.A.S.T.'s major undertakings is the P.A.S.T. Museum - Kirkpatrick House Project. This house located on 103 W. Chestnut Street in Anna, has been donated to P.A.S.T. by Dr. Kathy Swafford in order that the house may be preserved. This house was owned by C. E. Kirkpatrick, son of Cornwall Kirkpatrick, of the Anna Pottery. The Anna Pottery produced a variety of wares from utilitarian to unusual presentation pieces during the last half of the 19th century.

This project is already underway with big plans for community service when it is finished. These plans include using this structure as a small museum, resource for Union County history, and educational outreach center.

The interior modernization remodeling is being torn away revealing the original floorplan and layers of wallpaper. Work days occur on the second Saturday of each month beginning at 8:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come and get their hands dirty working on this project.

Recently the chimney had to be taken out at the roof level during the refurbishing and coating of the roof. During this process, Lou Boswell of Boswell's has allowed parking for the dumpster and tar buggy. P.A.S.T. and the construction crew appreciated this convenience during the process.
