P.A.S.T. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose work is done by volunteers. The basic goal of P.A.S.T. is to encourage an appreciation of the structures in Union County, Illinois so that individuals, businesses, and groups will help to preserve these treasures for the future finding new and functional ways to use them. One of the best ways we have found to do this is by making their history available to others through a variety of methods. The Home and Structure Tours, Website, and the P.A.S.T. Museum projects are ways to share this information.

Another opportunity to encourage the appreciation of structural treasures is by example of preservation. The Historic St. Anne's project is the ideals of P.A.S.T. put into practice.
